Protecting Our Health.
If we are not healthy, we cannot enjoy the fruits of our labor. Our health is being attacked on multiple fronts. The office of the Executive, and the Wayne County health department could do so much more to protect us. Wayne County has become valued as a trash can for harmful materials to be dumped here from other parts of America. I will put an end to this practice. Many citizens have experienced health complications post Covid-19. Others health has declined due to poor food quality. The county should be positioned to field these concerns and better support preventative care and health in its budget.
Protecting Our Children.
The quality of education has fallen sharply in the county and state despite the fact that we taxpayers approve nearly every education millage. Wayne County can play a heavy role through Wayne Resa to adopt better curriculums, and set policy forth that protects our children from distractive or age inappropriate information and influence. As an elected official I will advocate for higher teacher wages so that the profession has added dignity and attracts people who love to teach and can earn a respectable living doing it.
Protecting Our Investments.
The citizens of Wayne County deserve to see a return on our investments, and we certainly should not continue to see our investment diminish or destabilize. Two of the biggest investments we make is in our homes and businesses. Both are routinely diminished because high property taxes and other cost of living, including the cost of crime and corruption, drive our neigbors out of the county. Businesses and families leave to places that deliver the same product but at a lower cost. I will lower the cost of living, which will retain current residents and attract new neighbors – thereby stabilizing our neighborhoods.
Protecting Us.
In the past, politics has been more about the redistribution of resources. At least, this is what we learned in high school government class. You pay taxes, and the government delivers common services we need. Today we no longer live in this simplified world. I believe that government should be fiscally responsible and deliver high quality service. I also believe that in today’s world government has an added duty to protect it citizens from what has become a relatively unsafe place. Today we are confronted with new challenges to our health, hazardous materials, dangerous drugs, innovations and technologies with unknown side-affects, and access to massive amounts of propaganda. We must have a government that is more vigilant and concerned with the everyday citizen so that they can live life free from unanticipated harms.

John Olumba Has an Impressive Record of Service.
As a legislator and as an attorney John has been at the forefront of many issues that affect Wayne County and has delivered on all of them.
John Olumba’s Statement on Property Taxes and the 40 Year Era of Political Corruption.
I am going to considerably lower the property taxes for everyone in Wayne County whether your taxes are capped or were uncapped.
I am going to halt foreclosure and the theft of homeowner equity from our citizens.
I am going to improve the level of service and increase the wage of the people delivering county services.
I am going to balance the cost of this relief on the backs of the entities and people that have benefitted from a corrupt and wasteful government overrun by cronyism and graft.
This will provide relief to current residents and attract new ones. It will also stabilize neighborhoods, drive development, and boost business and investor confidence.

“For he has given his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all they ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands lest thou dash thy foot against a stone”.
-King David, Psalms 91:11

We are running a grassroots campaign because our goal is to deliver Wayne County back to its citizens. This campaign is powered by ordinary people like you. Will you lend a hand?
